My youngest daughter went to this camp last year (when it was just volleyball/basketball) – and she absolutely loved it. This year, the girls rotate through basketball, volleyball, and new this year, softball! The girls will be spending about an hour on each sport. It gives them a chance to try something new without having to commit to a full season — or to build on something they already love.

It’s also not just drills. The camp is run with help from Grass Lake coaches and high school athletes, so the younger girls get to learn directly from the players they look up to. That piece matters more than people realize, is seeing what’s possible, asking questions, and just being around older athletes who’ve been through it.

They’re also keeping it simple and kid-friendly:

  • Snacks are provided
  • It’s structured but not overwhelming
  • Built for a range of skill levels

Whether your daughter already plays or is still figuring out what she likes, this is a really good, low-pressure way to get involved.

And honestly, events like this are part of what makes a small town work — older kids pouring back into the younger ones, and giving them a reason to show up and try something.
